    God-Killer Prophecy

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
It has been written, it has been foretold, but will it come to pass? You may "upgrade" to print and get a hand-written cover. This is God-Killer Prophecy Augury+ Edition. The PDF will receive periodic updates as we move towards an Augury++ edition. If is foretold that a Chosen one will arise and slay the dark lord. Make your prophecy, drawn the lands to be traversed, and discover if you can kill the dark god.God-Killer Prophecy is a one-shot collaborative RPG played against the escalating threat of the dark god—represented by a deck of playing cards. In the prologue you use cards to create a prophecy, and answer questions to create the the dark god, the chosen one and his companions.Play in Chapters 1-6 is divided into two major phases: Auguries Phase and the Adventure PhaseAdventure PhaseYou use two regular decks of playing cards. One a heroes deck, and one the dark gods deck. In each chapter you face at least two threats, where the heroes use their cards to overcome the dark gods deck. The heroes lose card's as they face challenges and must get more cards into the hands of the chosen one so they can defeat the dark lord in the final confrontation. While that is happening the dark god's deck also loses cards, but only the weakest, causing increasing tension.Auguries PhaseThe playing cards are first used to setup the prophecy. This is the first thing that shapes the story. Then there are question prompts for each chapter that guides players to illustrate where they find themselves and who and what they must do. This then feeds into the challenges of the Adventure Phase. I thought to myself one day -- "I want a one shot story-game with teeth." And then I thought, "if I am doing that it must be the high-fantasy epic that I loved to read." Thus, God-Killer Prophecy was born. God-Killer Prophecy is drawing (illustrating) game where you forge a world and a legend together.Key inspirations for the author/designer were the Belgariad series (David Eddings), the Sword of Shannara series (Terry Brooks) and The Dark is Rising Sequence (Susan Cooper).Game design inspirations include Palanquin (Genesis of Legend Publishing), Vanagard (Pendelhaven Publishing) and The Quiet Year (Buried Without Ceremony). Learn a little more on the forum, in particular check out this thread.

    Mutants!

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
    2 Ratings
Somewhere, so far and away, a Forsaken Planet exists. The people there are having the time of their lives, even as they scrape by to keep them. They can’t remember the civilities of brunch or the feel of space age memory foam mattresses. They know the comfort of a hot barrel and the smell of sulfurite when their makeshift blastaracker has won them the fight.Mutants! is a fast-paced skirmish game in which nomadic gangs of Mutants roam the Post Forsakened planet in search of supplies to survive another day.Ever wanted to suffer day in and day out to survive 99 years after the Forsaking, possibly having to kill or be killed for some crumbs of a ChoccoSpud??? Of course not! But now you imagine how freaking cool it could be with this table top skirmish game! Create your Mutant leader and build a gang of tentacled, cyclopped, caustic oozing, chainsaw prosthetic wielding vagabonds and face off against your friends. Tired of table top games that take 40 millennia to play? Exhausted of the constant turn and burn of the tournament meta? Metaphorically dead from the designers never releasing the rules for your favorite models? Look no further! Mutants! plays on 15" by 15" board with no more than 7 models per player. A 2 player game lasts about 35 minutes and supports up to four players with ease. No measuring tape required as Mutants uses a cube grid for movement and ranges. Mutants! also supports campaign style play wherein you can level up your gang, cause drastic injuries to your opponents, and try to build a rocket ship to the moon! I am super excited to share this game exclusively through Big Geek Emporium for FREE. If you like the game, please give us a review and share it with your friends. Simple Superheroes #1: The Experiment

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
A supervillain seeking revenge, an experiment sabotaged, your heroes caught in the middle.Simple Superheroes #1: The Experiment is a adventure module including setting information for the city of New Carthage and 9 detailed adventure Events that Game Masters can leverage to run the scenario in many different ways. The adventure released November 5th 2022.The Setting: New CarthageWelcome to New Carthage—the city where superpowers were born, the city where new superhumans emerge to this day. Though New Carthage has been ravaged by superpowered battles, its residents and heroes remain unyielding in their hope. The only certainty is change, and getting super-powers sure would come in handy, right?Superheroes emerged about 5 years ago in New Carthage, but your heroes are still expected to take a central role. One way to do that is to connect your characters to the key NPCs, like so:A full character web of all the important NPCs for issue #1 is in the module. The Adventure: DR. NEWTON’S EXPERIMENTThe adventure is designed with a flexible characters, some of whom can replace or be replaced by your own characters relations. It offers a series of detailed events, that can occur in different sequences or permutations.Adventure Module SynopsisGravitor, injured by one of Dr.Newton’s prior experiments, is seeking vengeance. She has convinced her new lover, Peter—who just so happens to be Dr. Newton’s assistant—to help her.A recent spate of robberies has targeted supplies meant for Dr. Newton’s lab and projects Newton has been sending to other organizations. The heroes will help foil one or more of these robberies. Dr. Newton then asks for the heroes to join him during a critical phase of Project Chronos to insure no interference. The experiment goes awry and Newton’s assistant, Peter Pojistic, is enhanced but requires help to control his powers. The heroes must stop a thorium reactor meltdown and investigate the saboteurs. Peter’s injuries in the Experiment grant him speed powers and he becomes Timelost.Eventually, the heroes discover that the saboteurs are led by Gravitor (Halley Nicols). Halley is a former astronaut candidate, and spent months in a coma after a zero-g device created by Newton malfunctioned. She recruited Mirror promising him wealth, deceived a young hacker named Cindy Lyons (CL4W), and even “fell in love” with Peter, bringing him around to her cause.Your heroes must decide who is to blame, and put a stop to the conflict between Newton and Gravitor before New Carthage’s ability to contain metahuman threats (both villainous and accidental) is completely compromised.Game EngineSimple Superheroes #0 is the core rulebook, it pioneered the Unleashed Engine and is packed with examples and supervillains (two of whom feature in Issue #1). An overview of the rules is available in the free Heart of Simple Superheroes PDF.The engine is a framework to brainstorm your own powers, with meaningful constraints. It has a traditional Game Master role, where the Judge is meant to make rulings and control the world and NPCs.

    The Boy from Mezteha'as

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
What if your child was stolen from you, whisked away by a cult to be used as a sacrifice for a cult? Grab your friends as you take to the streets of Sa'an Transisko to save the boy. Fight creeps and monsters, snag sweet treasure and weapons, avoid traps and STDs?!?The Cha'alt Scenario is perfect for a one-shot or can easily be stretched over a couple of sessions. This Old-School inspired, tentacly gooped, gonzo romp carries some adult themes with some childish humor. It should be enjoyed irresponsibly by consenting adults.

The A’agrybah Post is pleased to brin-… the news. *schhhzzrrrinininin*Trusted Cha’alt New-….*sscccccrreeeeeec*Welcome to Cha’alt! The sunniest place in all of the planets, dimensions, multiverses, or whatever those out of work “authors” use to justify writing whatever they want.Anyway, compiled here are some of the greatest stories across the S’kbah. All curated by the real chums you can trust: Skeevers! No skuzz, no fuzz, 101% gonzo action.  The Skeevateer is the inaugural fan zine for Venger Satanis’ Cha’alt setting and uses his Crimson Dragon Slayer d20 rules. Inside the first issue, Paddy’s Parlor teams up with The Red Room, Lordmatteus, Wargod Wargaming and Raymond Herndon to bring you stories, magic items, one shot scenarios and loads of Cha’alt flavored art. This issue, blessed by the High Priest of Kort’thalis Publishing himself, is the biggest project put together by the Parlor yet;Letters from Slavery by Raymond Herndon is a small primer about one of the denizens of Cha’alt who has found himself in a precarious situation.Deathslinger by Lordmatteus brings you the most Heavy Metal hunk of metal to grace Cha’alt’s history, how to find it, special abilities gained by his wielder, and promises a legendary legacy for all worthy to carry it into battle.Stalker in the Dark is a collaboration with The Red Room that puts your players into a a dark research center wherein the inhabitants have gone quiet. Will your players survive?Beast Taming gives your table optional rules for taming the beasts of Cha’alt to be your mounts or pack animals, careful! We are not responsible for characters that decompose in the lower intestines of an arachnohound. And Ja’afray’s Marsh is a zany pop culture parody that entices players to look for a powerful macguffin that could make them kings, or the King’s favorite. This section also includes several beasties to throw at your players as well as a new playable race: the Bognuggins. The Parlor would like to say thanks to @SonicusMaximus of PlayerPla.net and Jeremy Herndon for proofing and editing this work of passion. And many thanks to Venger Satanis for allowing us entrance into his sandbox. You can find his Crimson Dragon Slayer here:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/crimson-dragon-slayer-d20/ An example of play in Cha’alt:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/chaalt-gpt/Along with a follow up adventure for anyone who survives the Skeevateer scenarios:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/the-violet-haunted-crypt/We at the Parlor would like to thank you for your interest in our book as well as the opportunity to provide some new stuff to enhance your tabletop time (perhaps even toilet  time). We appreciate any and all reviews and welcome you to print a few extra copies to share with your friends… or enemies? Perhaps a Zoth drenched olive branch to your high school bully? or print it and light it on fire as good will to the Old Ones (we assume no liability for your choice to “do an arson” and would generally advise against it)
