You may be new to solo roleplaying or an old hand, either way we all run our solo games our own unique ways. This does mean that we rarely get to see how other people are doing it. This books contains tips and advice that I have picked up over the years that I have incorporated into my own play. Some of these may be new to you, some you may accept as obvious truths. Each of these work for me, and I have included examples of either the tip in use or how I came about incorporating the advice into my own play. I share lots of examples of my own playing to illustrate each tip. This book grew out of a run of blog articles I ran in 2021, and that grew out of a video series I posted on YouTube, and the comments I received from my solo community. A print on demand, printed by Lulu, version of this book is available from this site https://ppmgames.myshopify.com/products/easier-story-craft?variant=40771377823908

Light Fantasy Solo SOLO ROLEPLAYING FOR BAREBONES FANTASY™ ROLEPLAYING GAME These rules are intended to be used alongside BareBones Fantasy. The main question and answer tools use the basic skill roll, with automatic yes-no, and critical yes-no behaving exactly as a skill/attribute check is made. This means that most questions can be asked and answered without needing to refer to these rules at all. The open question tools, used for questions like "what are they thinking?" or "what is in the box?" use a pair of word grids, similar to Word Mill's Mythic, but these lists have been customized to reflect BareBones Fantasy. The two word grids live on just one page; that is the only page you would need to print off if you wanted to play away from a computer. The bulk of this book is made up of examples, tips and advice to help you get into solo playing the game with a minimum of snags and false starts.

Quick Ass Solo Compatible with QAGS Second Edition These rules, a d20, and a copy of QAGS Second Edition is all you need to get going with this super flexible RPG. Quick Ass Solo uses the same 'roll low, but not too low' system as the core rules to take the decision-making out of your hands and under the control of the dice. These rules also introduce improv techniques selected to help you speed your games along. This booklet also serves as a quickstart for potential new QAGS GMs wanting to get to grips with the rules and gameplay.   [embed]https://youtu.be/WPjnPz_ymi8[/embed]

FANTASY The Survive This!! family of games blends the basic gameplay of OSR with a simple-to-grasp skills system. The Fantasy version of this game is well supported by Bloat Games with many companion books. This is a buy as much or as little as you need to play your game. The stand out feature, for me, is the magic system with its inherent risks when stepping into the void. My only disappointment was the lack of monsters in the core book. That said, it is the work of a moment to convert any OSR monster book to  ST!!Fantasy. These rules have a   definite OSR feel about them but are designed to dovetail into the  Survive This!! rules as written.
