star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Through the small French town of Royat flows a stream of miraculous water. Still, the spring’s history is also connected to ancient ghost stories, and the locals prefer to avoid it just in case. Until the day an eccentric Russian prince is cured of his long ailment and decides to share the water miracle with the world, building a unique avant-garde Sanatorium & Spa Resort. However, the townspeople were actually right in fearing those ancient tales; something ancient, unnatural and dangerous lurks in the shadows of the sanatorium and the preternatural cure may come with a heavy price. The answer to this mystery is in the water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loyWUFe2KpI

100 Encounters for a Fantasy Jungle (Barbaric!)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This is a collection of 100 different encounters that can be placed in a jungle - or, to be more up-to-date, a tropical rainforest. They are to a degree influenced by media portrayals of jungles, but the majority of the encounters should be easy to drop into most appropriate settings. These can be used as background, colour and potential adventure hooks. Some of the encounters are potentially hazardous in one way or another whilst others may prove to be useful. They include things, plants, creatures and sounds. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results:Drumming - Loud, repetitive drumming can be heard in the distance. The surrounding jungle makes it extremely difficult to tell where the sound is coming from.Dry Area - This area of the jungle is dead and dry. The plants and trees are withered and the smaller ones are crumbling. The resultant damage means the area is open to the sky and the air is filled with dust from the dry soil.Farm - The ground is clearer here, with no trees only stumps, and the area is open to the air. Small plants cover the ground and some appear to be in regular lines. An overgrown lump in the centre of the cleared area is a collapsed wooden building, a farm house for the area cleared was a farm. Some of the plants are the wild remains of domesticated species that were being grown (throw Lore 4+ to forage for supplies). No sign of the former residents can be found.Flash Flood - A large storm can be heard in the distance. Some minutes later, the path the characters are one may be revealed to be an empty riverbed along which a flash flood is now coming, caused by the distant rains. The flood can easily knock creatures off their feet (throw Physical 6+ to remain on your feet), carting them downriver along with various debris.Frogs - Many small, brightly coloured frogs dot the marshy ground below the trees, croaking in chorus. The skin of the frogs has glands under it that exude a poison that is very dangerous to touch (if touched, throw Physical 6+ or take 2D damage). The supplement is for use Barbaric! and has 12 pages with one being the front cover, one the front matter, one mostly ads and one the Open Game License.See the video for a preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-X4QF7Fwsw

100 Encounters for Fantasy Mountains (Barbaric!)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Mountains can be dangerous places in and of themselves, being home to such as mud- and rockslides, avalanches, high winds, freezing conditions and potential falls. This supplement has 100 different encounters that can be used to add extra detail to a mountain journey or as a source of adventure hooks. Some are potentially useful, some are potentially hazardous and some are simply odd. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results:Cutting into the side of the mountain is a deep, steep-sided valley. The vegetation in the valley is all twisted and sickly, apparently dying, and the smell of rot rises from it, as all the animal and birdlife in the valley has died. Curiously, none of the corpses are attracting insects. (Large quantities of arsenic have poisoned everything in the valley; characters will be safe unless they eat any of the dead creatures. If they do, throw Physical 8+ or take 2d6 damage.)Dangling from the face of a cliff are several corpses. The corpses are linked together by a rope and appear to have been climbing the cliff face before something killed them.Dense trees hide a sudden drop-off from view. The trees suddenly disappear, revealing the top of a steep cliff. Travellers who are going through the trees too fast may not have enough time to stop (characters travelling at a speed faster than 6m/round must throw Physical 6+ to stop in time; those who fail must throw Physical 8+ to grab onto a root or outcropping to avoid falling off the cliff).Dying trees cover the mountain’s slope here. Each tree has had the bark stripped off the trunk to a height about 6’ above the ground. (Throw Lore 6+ to determine that this damage is animal in origin.)Far above, what appears to be a stone balcony protrudes from the side of a cliff. The supplement is for use with Barbaric! and has 11 pages with one being the front cover, one the front matter, one mostly ads and one the Open Game License.See the video for a preview: https://youtu.be/NCoOjRwbctQ

100 Encounters for Fantasy Plains (Barbaric!)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This supplement has 100 different encounters that characters could have when travelling though plains, savannahs and grasslands, those places where there is not much but flat ground, to make the journeys more interesting. These can be used to add detail and colour to a journey through a generally boring region or as a source of adventure hooks. Some are potentially useful, some are potentially hazardous and some are simply odd. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. See the video at the bottom for details. Here are some sample results:Curving out of the ground are yellowed, curving bones, each dozens of feet long and seemingly from the ribcage of some enormous beast. (The beast cannot be identified; it may have been a singular creature or one from another world.)Dark clouds on the horizon turn into a rapidly approaching rain squall which douses the area in violent rain before quickly passing on. (The bad weather conditions apply DM-1 to skill checks.)Distant smoke covers the horizon from where the plains are burning. If the wind changes, a fire will quickly travel towards the characters. (Should that happen, the characters will be in serious danger.)The supplement is for use with Barbaric! and has 11 pages with being the front cover, one the front matter, one is ads and one the Open Game License.See the video for a preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVgJa5PNVow

100 Encounters for Fantasy Rivers (Barbaric!)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This supplement has 100 different encounters that can be used to enliven a river journey, or for characters to experience when they are near a river. Some are best suited for those on boats, whilst others work for any form of travel, including travelling beside or across the river. They may be used as a source of background events, danger or potential adventure hooks. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. See the video at the bottom for details. Here are some sample results:On a rock next to the river is a large bear (Bear, of the normal brown variety) that is fishing in the water. It will ignore anyone unless approached or attacked. On top of a cliff overlooking the river is a wooden lift, with a basket on a rope dangling below it (the lift is functional, but can only be operated from the top).Perched on top of a small bluff overlooking a bend in the river is a watchtower. It appears (throw Lore 6+) to be currently occupied and in good condition and soldiers can be seen on the battlements.Pieces of wood float down the river on the surface. Examining them (throw Lore 6+) shows that they seem to be from the shattered hull of a boat.Reeds fill a small area that has been scooped out of one of the river's banks. By the looks of it (throw Lore 6+), the reeds have been recently harvested. The supplement is for use with Barbaric! and has 9 pages with being the front cover, one the front matter, half is ads and one the Open Game License.See the video for a preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOVsnusVmIw

A Sundered World (Dungeon World Campaign Setting)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
A Sundered World is a fantastic, kind of gonzo campaign setting for Dungeon World. It takes place in the shattered remnants of the worlds, which were ravaged during a cosmic war between the gods and primordials (which also wiped them all out in the process). It includes: Ten races, each with their own race moves, to better allow you to determine how much your race affects you (and serve as a foundation in case you want to flesh out an entire racial class). There's also guidelines and suggestions for using them in "default" Dungeon World games. Six new classes. New weapons, armor, dungeon gear (including poisons), services, transport options, hireling skills, buildings, and magic items. Materials to further customize your weapons and armor: bind a wind spirit to your spear so that it flies further, shape a shield out of black ice, or don sturdy-yet-weightless armor shaped from raw astral essence. Ships, both magical and mundane, to help you get around the Remnants, Maelstrom, and the darker regions beyond. There's ship-specific moves, plenty of example ships to choose from, and a section to help you build an entirely custom ship of your own design. World moves for drifting through the astral, willing objects into existence using astral essence, lingering on as a ghost when you die, and more. Eleven new monster settings, detailing glorious-yet-terrifying angels, sinister devils, cold, emotionless machines from the pre-Sundering era, spirits that managed to survive the Sundering, and strange beasts that were changed during the Sundering, or managed to adapt. Six varied example campaign and adventure fronts to get you started. There is both a color and black and white PDF, in case you prefer one over the other. The setting has undergone extensive playtesting: you can read up on session reports and related content here.

A timeline of events, both weird and mundane. Meant for Lamentations of the Flame Princess GM's to use as scenario seeds and quick reference of significant events. There are no stats or mechanics so it's technically system-neutral.
