100 Encounters for Moorlands and Heaths (Barbaric!)
Moorland and heath are closely related lands, primarily uncultivated hill lands and uplands but which can also include wetlands. Many moors and heath are formed through human activity and peat and low-growing shrubs are common. Often, they have been used for many centuries, and signs of precursors can be common. This supplement has 100 encounters for such regions which can be used to enliven a journey, from background colour to potential adventure hooks. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results:A small, well-constructed building is sheltered by trees that appear (throw Lore 6+) to have been deliberately planted around it. The building is a small hunting lodge.A steep-sided hidden dip suddenly breaks the moorland, with crumbling edges that risk (throw Physical 6+) tumbling travellers down to the bottom.A stone marker with runes (throw Lore 6+ to identify as being from a long-lost realm) carved into the side of it is gradually sinking into the peat.A tumbledown hut, built from rocks scavenged from the moors, stands in the middle of them. Though most of two walls have collapsed, there is still a small amount of shelter provided by the remainder. From the looks of it (throw Lore 6+), animals and the occasional travellers have used the hut for shelter.A vale cuts through the moorland, a river running along the bottom. The vale's sides and bottom are divided by walls and a farm sits near to the river (the farm is occupied and the farmer is willing to sell food for 90% of list price). The supplement is for use Barbaric! and has 9 pages with one being the front cover, one the front matter and one the Open Game License.See the video for a preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j--rW49Ok1Q$1.4924XX: Deep Space Explorers
