A Sundered World (Dungeon World Campaign Setting)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
A Sundered World is a fantastic, kind of gonzo campaign setting for Dungeon World. It takes place in the shattered remnants of the worlds, which were ravaged during a cosmic war between the gods and primordials (which also wiped them all out in the process). It includes: Ten races, each with their own race moves, to better allow you to determine how much your race affects you (and serve as a foundation in case you want to flesh out an entire racial class). There's also guidelines and suggestions for using them in "default" Dungeon World games. Six new classes. New weapons, armor, dungeon gear (including poisons), services, transport options, hireling skills, buildings, and magic items. Materials to further customize your weapons and armor: bind a wind spirit to your spear so that it flies further, shape a shield out of black ice, or don sturdy-yet-weightless armor shaped from raw astral essence. Ships, both magical and mundane, to help you get around the Remnants, Maelstrom, and the darker regions beyond. There's ship-specific moves, plenty of example ships to choose from, and a section to help you build an entirely custom ship of your own design. World moves for drifting through the astral, willing objects into existence using astral essence, lingering on as a ghost when you die, and more. Eleven new monster settings, detailing glorious-yet-terrifying angels, sinister devils, cold, emotionless machines from the pre-Sundering era, spirits that managed to survive the Sundering, and strange beasts that were changed during the Sundering, or managed to adapt. Six varied example campaign and adventure fronts to get you started. There is both a color and black and white PDF, in case you prefer one over the other. The setting has undergone extensive playtesting: you can read up on session reports and related content here.

    Cha'alt-GPT

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
What is Cha'alt-GPT?  It's a slightly different version of Chat-GPT... one that revolves around my eldritch, gonzo, science-fantasy, post-apocalypse campaign setting of Cha'alt.  Experience what it's like to observe a group of gamers playing Cha'alt; characters and situations, worlds within worlds, magic, high-tech, monsters, and more! It's sleazy, it's humorous, and repleat with pop-culture references! I'm not even sure what Cha'alt-GPT is or is supposed to be, or will become... but we have the chance to find out together... for FREE.  Well, this one's free.  If you like it and let me know (review my stuff if you want to see more of it), I'll continue writing parts 2, 3, and 4 of Cha'alt-GPT.  Future installments will cost a couple bucks.  Otherwise, Cha'alt-GPT wouldn't be sustainable.  But if this little experiment dies on the vine, at least you were there at the beginning, celebrating it's birth/death right along with me.  ;) For crystals and bacon!  All hail our banana-men overlords!  Shemha'amforash! VS p.s. Also, this PDF contains images created with Midjourney A.I.

    Codex Infinitum: Gaia (EDGE)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Step into the mystical world of Gaia and discover its ancient mysteries buried underneath her sentient soil. “On the war-torn planet of Gaia, magic and science are almost inter-twinned. Factions clash among themselves across a vast chasm here and even the ground one walks upon can be sentient. Tread carefully, for Gaia is merciless to those who would threaten her existence.” - Livis Dorrel, Emperor of the Swordsworn Empire Gaia is a high magic, high-medieval fantasy world where magic has gone rampant and has given sentience not only to various species, but also to mundane objects and even the ground itself. The resulting magical surge was caused by an event called the Great Ascension that imbued the entire planet with magic and started numerous bloody wars in the process. Are you the one to delve into the magical mysteries of this planet and emerge victorious with many powerful artifacts in-hand, or will you die in the attempt like so many before you? Please note, that this is one of the three setting books for the EDGE RPG and only details things that are setting-specific (like races, factions, items, etc.). To learn how to play the game, you also need the EDGE Core Rules (available from the vendor's page) or you can use the book as a standalone setting book with some additional tweaks. A note to all players: All of my games are 100% OGL-free! FEATURES:A unique world: Gaia is unlike any other planet. It was created by the Gods as a near-perfect cosmic vivarium that was plunged into chaos by The Great Ascension. The laws of reality are always challenged by magic here. Watch your step.8 unique races to choose from: Players can choose from 8 distinct races, none of which are elves, dwarves, orcs or even humans. Many of these races also offer sub-races to choose from and each has two unique racial abilities.Landmarks, settlements and people: The book offers a description for every landmark and settlement on the world map as well as all of the important leaders of each major faction and their short backgrounds.Religion and mythology: An entire pantheon of Gods to worship, each with their own unique blessings and banes that they can bestow upon the party.Time and money: A breakdown of how time is measured on Gaia as well as her important events and the breakdown of the many currencies used by different factions.Items: Many different items to choose from in this timeline, from classic weapons like longswords, to rare weapons like muskets and mortars.Mounts: A list of mounts and vehicles available in this timeline, like horses, wagons and airships.Creatures: 70 different creatures and their stat blocks for the GM to challenge the party with. Also comes with random encounter tables.World Map: A hand-drawn world map of Gaia and her points of interest.One-shot: A play-tested one-shot with 7 pre-made characters for players to try out the setting. EDGE has been in the making for 6+ years since 2016 and has gone through many iterations in that time. It was made by one man and was play-tested on a weekly basis for over 2 years. That being said, there was no feasible way to test out every single aspect of game and therefore, there might be some small balance patches on the way, based on player feedback.  Disclaimer: This game was made by gamers for gamers. It is not and never will be politically motivated in any way.

    EDGE Core Rules

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
“You have been given a chance. One soul of billions pulled from the absence of time and space - a coincidental choice picked by the Gods. Unfrozen, you now stand on the precipice of the Aether’s many realities. Which will you choose? Will you end up as a hero, or a villain, that will turn the tide of this reality, or will you fall like thousands before you and have another take your place?” - Sira, the Goddess of Life and Rebirth  You are a mortal like any other. You are not special and you are not unbeatable. But hey, the good news is - neither is anyone else. EDGE RPG is a table top roleplaying game that can be described in one word: freedom. Your character can be whoever they want to be and explore three different settings full of mysteries and secrets. It is the ultimate sandbox game, that combines the best of many different genres and gives a fresh spin on old ideas. The lore of the game is rich and detailed and offers a little bit of everything, from high-fantasy war-torn worlds to dystopian post-apocalypses. EDGE tries to bridge the gap between old-school roleplaying and a more modern, cinematic style of play by giving GMs a ruleset that rewards smart play with almost cinematic-like moments and punishes dumb moves without mercy. In EDGE, your character inhabits one of its three settings, from a high magic fantasy war-torn world, through a dystopian, post-apocalypse, to a space-faring, sci-fi universe. Whichever world you choose to play in is up to you and the rules are always the same, merely expanded for that setting. That being said, this book only explains those rules and you also need to purchase one of the three setting books for a list of all items, vehicles and other setting-specific stuff that’s needed for that setting (check vendor page for the books) or you can use the book as a system-agnostic set of rules if you wish to use it in other settings. A note to all players: All of my games are 100% OGL-free! FEATURES: The Aether and the Gods: A short introduction on the major Gods and the nature of reality of the game's settings.4 Roles and 14 Classes: The core of a character’s abilities and potential powers, each with its own passive effects, racial synergies and its five unique Class Features, each of which have 8 tiers of abilities and 3 passive effects. The customization options in EDGE are robust enough for virtually any build! The Core Rules: All the rules needed to explain how things work in EDGE. The rules are easy enough to understand and have a lot of depth once you truly dive into the system’s mechanics.A Deep and Tactical Combat System: Combat in EDGE is tactical, unforgiving but also rewarding to those who know how to use the rules to their advantage. It offers a near-realistic combat experience whilst still offering many abilities for that cinematic kill. Don't make any dumb moves in this game if you want your character to live.Powers: Over 300+ supernatural Powers to choose from (for you spellcasters out there). They range from elemental spells to spiritual incantations all the way to magically-infused cybernetics. You're Being Watched: In EDGE, the Gods are always watching you, whether you want them to or not and the world responds to your deeds when they hear of, or witness them. Your character's virtue and corruption thus warrants potential blessings and banes from the Gods and a robust reputation system determines how the world around your character responds to your deeds (if they know about them, of course). An arsenal of gadgets: The game offers almost any type of weapon one can think of: from throwing daggers and muskets to flamethrowers and missile launchers. It also features many different utility gadgets, from healing potions to jetpacks.Game Master’s Guide: The book also includes a GM’s Guide that explains detailed rules for every scenario. It features tools to craft your own universes, races and factions as well as nuanced rules like mass combat and downtime activities.Character sheets: The game offers a form-fillable, print-ready character sheet and 5 other sheets that might come in handy for pets, constructs, creatures, vehicles and spacecraft. EDGE has been in the making for 6+ years since 2016 and has gone through many iterations in that time. The Skeevateer

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
The A’agrybah Post is pleased to brin-… the news. *schhhzzrrrinininin*Trusted Cha’alt New-….*sscccccrreeeeeec*Welcome to Cha’alt! The sunniest place in all of the planets, dimensions, multiverses, or whatever those out of work “authors” use to justify writing whatever they want.Anyway, compiled here are some of the greatest stories across the S’kbah. All curated by the real chums you can trust: Skeevers! No skuzz, no fuzz, 101% gonzo action.  The Skeevateer is the inaugural fan zine for Venger Satanis’ Cha’alt setting and uses his Crimson Dragon Slayer d20 rules. Inside the first issue, Paddy’s Parlor teams up with The Red Room, Lordmatteus, Wargod Wargaming and Raymond Herndon to bring you stories, magic items, one shot scenarios and loads of Cha’alt flavored art. This issue, blessed by the High Priest of Kort’thalis Publishing himself, is the biggest project put together by the Parlor yet;Letters from Slavery by Raymond Herndon is a small primer about one of the denizens of Cha’alt who has found himself in a precarious situation.Deathslinger by Lordmatteus brings you the most Heavy Metal hunk of metal to grace Cha’alt’s history, how to find it, special abilities gained by his wielder, and promises a legendary legacy for all worthy to carry it into battle.Stalker in the Dark is a collaboration with The Red Room that puts your players into a a dark research center wherein the inhabitants have gone quiet. Will your players survive?Beast Taming gives your table optional rules for taming the beasts of Cha’alt to be your mounts or pack animals, careful! We are not responsible for characters that decompose in the lower intestines of an arachnohound. And Ja’afray’s Marsh is a zany pop culture parody that entices players to look for a powerful macguffin that could make them kings, or the King’s favorite. This section also includes several beasties to throw at your players as well as a new playable race: the Bognuggins. The Parlor would like to say thanks to @SonicusMaximus of PlayerPla.net and Jeremy Herndon for proofing and editing this work of passion. And many thanks to Venger Satanis for allowing us entrance into his sandbox. You can find his Crimson Dragon Slayer here:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/crimson-dragon-slayer-d20/ An example of play in Cha’alt:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/chaalt-gpt/Along with a follow up adventure for anyone who survives the Skeevateer scenarios:https://biggeekemporium.com/product/the-violet-haunted-crypt/We at the Parlor would like to thank you for your interest in our book as well as the opportunity to provide some new stuff to enhance your tabletop time (perhaps even toilet  time). We appreciate any and all reviews and welcome you to print a few extra copies to share with your friends… or enemies? Perhaps a Zoth drenched olive branch to your high school bully? or print it and light it on fire as good will to the Old Ones (we assume no liability for your choice to “do an arson” and would generally advise against it)
