    Codex Infinitum: Gaia (EDGE)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Step into the mystical world of Gaia and discover its ancient mysteries buried underneath her sentient soil. “On the war-torn planet of Gaia, magic and science are almost inter-twinned. Factions clash among themselves across a vast chasm here and even the ground one walks upon can be sentient. Tread carefully, for Gaia is merciless to those who would threaten her existence.” - Livis Dorrel, Emperor of the Swordsworn Empire Gaia is a high magic, high-medieval fantasy world where magic has gone rampant and has given sentience not only to various species, but also to mundane objects and even the ground itself. The resulting magical surge was caused by an event called the Great Ascension that imbued the entire planet with magic and started numerous bloody wars in the process. Are you the one to delve into the magical mysteries of this planet and emerge victorious with many powerful artifacts in-hand, or will you die in the attempt like so many before you? Please note, that this is one of the three setting books for the EDGE RPG and only details things that are setting-specific (like races, factions, items, etc.). To learn how to play the game, you also need the EDGE Core Rules (available from the vendor's page) or you can use the book as a standalone setting book with some additional tweaks. A note to all players: All of my games are 100% OGL-free! FEATURES:A unique world: Gaia is unlike any other planet. It was created by the Gods as a near-perfect cosmic vivarium that was plunged into chaos by The Great Ascension. The laws of reality are always challenged by magic here. Watch your step.8 unique races to choose from: Players can choose from 8 distinct races, none of which are elves, dwarves, orcs or even humans. Many of these races also offer sub-races to choose from and each has two unique racial abilities.Landmarks, settlements and people: The book offers a description for every landmark and settlement on the world map as well as all of the important leaders of each major faction and their short backgrounds.Religion and mythology: An entire pantheon of Gods to worship, each with their own unique blessings and banes that they can bestow upon the party.Time and money: A breakdown of how time is measured on Gaia as well as her important events and the breakdown of the many currencies used by different factions.Items: Many different items to choose from in this timeline, from classic weapons like longswords, to rare weapons like muskets and mortars.Mounts: A list of mounts and vehicles available in this timeline, like horses, wagons and airships.Creatures: 70 different creatures and their stat blocks for the GM to challenge the party with. Also comes with random encounter tables.World Map: A hand-drawn world map of Gaia and her points of interest.One-shot: A play-tested one-shot with 7 pre-made characters for players to try out the setting. EDGE has been in the making for 6+ years since 2016 and has gone through many iterations in that time. It was made by one man and was play-tested on a weekly basis for over 2 years. That being said, there was no feasible way to test out every single aspect of game and therefore, there might be some small balance patches on the way, based on player feedback.  Disclaimer: This game was made by gamers for gamers. It is not and never will be politically motivated in any way.

    Codex Infinitum: Omniverse (EDGE)

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Fly through the stars of a vast universe or explore the secrets that lie beyond its controlled borders where beings as old as the Omniverse lie in wait. “The Omniverse is vast and hides many horrors that are easily capable of destroying it. If you fly past the borders of known space, know only this - the spacers did that once, and now their eyes are blackened forever. Whoever or whatever is responsible for that...I don’t think I want to meet them.”- Mayson Craddock, leader of the Outlaw Alliance The Omniverse is a high-magic, sci-fi universe where astronomical anomalies are twisted and changed by magic. Science, for the most part, is useless here without a knowledge of the Arts as the Omniverse is literally the final barrier between the living world and the Aether that surrounds it.The Omniverse is a magical universe that was made so when the Great Ascension happened on Gaia. The magical shockwave rippled out of the planet and changed the Omniverse forever. It gave birth to different races and caused strange anomalies and phenomena that are still being analyzed by arcane scientists. It is a universe carved apart by several powerful factions vying for control of its sectors and is surrounded by a near-infinite sea of unexplored space. Please note, that this is one of the three setting books for the EDGE RPG and only details things that are setting-specific (like races, factions, items, etc.). Outside its borders, however, lies Deep Space, where the rules of the known Omniverse do not apply and no rules of engagement exist. Once you step outside the known Omniverse, you’re on your own.8 unique races to choose from: Players can choose from 8 distinct races many of which have evolved from Unity’s races as well as new races that were native to other planets. Many races have sub-races to choose from and have two unique racial abilities.Landmarks, settlements and people: The book offers a description for every anomaly, orbital structure and planet on the space map as well as all of the important leaders of each major faction and their short backgrounds.Religion and mythology: A dozen different religions from all corners of the galaxy each with one or more gods or aspects to worship.Time and money: A breakdown of how universal time is measured in the Omniverse as well as important events and the breakdown of how its unified currency is used.Items: A sci-fi arsenal of weapons from starmauls to laser rifles. It also features cyberwear that characters can implant into their bodies.Vehicles and spacecraft: A list of many basic and unique vehicles available in this timeline as well as all spacecraft available in this timeline.Creatures: 50+ different creatures and their stat blocks to throw at your party. Also comes with random encounter tables.World Map: A hand-drawn universe map of The Omniverse and its points of interest.One-shot: A play-tested one-shot with 7 pre-made characters for players to try out the setting. EDGE has been in the making for 6+ years since 2016 and has gone through many iterations in that time. Ivan's Simple Magic System

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This is a simple, yet highly playable, magic system that can replace the Vancian magic systems used in many fantasy RPG's and OSR's. Instead of requiring you to look up spells amid a sea of 100's, this system only requires you to learn a few basic concepts about how magic works. Instead of spells, it uses Crafts, which are types of magic, such as fire, water, earth, air, illusion, necromancy, summoning, etc. These work in predictable ways. All or most of the usual spellcasting classes are covered, including Clerics, Druids, and Bards.Spellcasters also have a "0L" casting option. They can cast very minimal spells any time they make an ability score check.Keep the game flowing with a simle magic system. Have more fun playing spellcasters that can use magic all the time and have more interesting advancement options.

    Midnight Prairie

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This supplement is designed for use with the existing Cowpunchers role-playing game written by Jonathan Torres. Cowpunchers is a table-top role-playing gameset in the American West circa 1870s. The game is designed to emulate the American Western drama. It is ahistorical tabletop roleplaying game for fans of the genre. But sometimes you need a little weirdness, am I right? This is the final version of my supplement. It not only included monsters and encounter tables, but also rules for Kung-Fu, psychic spiritualists, steampunk tinkerers', and shamanism. There are rules for fear, insanity, haunted homesteads, and Indian burial grounds. Also included are two scenarios:In "Nightmare at Logan's Crown," a rancher asks the posse to investigate missing cattle. It does not look like cattle rustlers or Native Americans are stealing the cattle. What could it be? A crazy old prospector and a mad scientist find something in an abandoned mine 7 days away from Angel's Creek. Competing factions seek control of the town and are unaware of the danger making its way to the dying town. What will happen in "When Midnight Fell on Angel's Creek?"
