The Indians are not yet completely pacified, the roads are still unsafe for pioneers and adventurers of all kinds, and the unexplored territories are full of gold...or bad encounters. In this realm of unknown and danger, a band of misfits - an alcoholic priest, an ancient cult witch, a bounty hunter, a former sheriff, and an Indian - unite to embark on a perilous journey that leads them from the Canadian border to the Rocky Mountains, from the ancestral Indian lands of the Crow people to the heart of frightening and unknown territories. By combining their strengths and knowledge, they attempt to thwart the designs of the one known as the Profaner, a supernatural entity awakened from a long sleep with only one desire: To plunge the Wild West into an era of unprecedented chaos and desolation.

    Coldheart Canyon

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Coldheart Canyon is heavily inspired by John Carpenter's "not western westerns", especially Ghosts of Mars; any similarity is not a coincidence but a homage! The adventure is meant to be played as a one-shot, taking place over a single night, from dusk to dawn. The party arrives at a small forsaken town in the desert; they are beaten from the arduous voyage and need of some respite, but what they find is a ghost town. Dudleytown appears empty at first, it seems like everybody has just vanished. Slowly the horrifying truth starts to be revealed. In the canyon, nearby miners have awakened an ancient alien force, that ravenously spread across town. There will be no rest tonight!

Grit and Bullets - 2nd Edition

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
It seems to me that there are three sub-genres of Western themed role playing games:Realistic,Cinematic, andWeird West. The core rules of Grit and Bullets 2nd Edition was designed with realism in mind, although I don’t know how realistic any RPG can ever be. The Characters are heroic but not super human. They are competent but not incapable of error and failure. In fact the Characters are rather more vulnerable as compared with other well known role playing games, and can suffer debilitating wounds that take time to heal. However, if you want to play a more Cinematic or Weird West game there are optional rules to be found in the Appendix area at the end of this booklet that hopefully will provide you with what you are looking for.

    Midnight Prairie

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
This supplement is designed for use with the existing Cowpunchers role-playing game written by Jonathan Torres. Cowpunchers is a table-top role-playing gameset in the American West circa 1870s. The game is designed to emulate the American Western drama. It is ahistorical tabletop roleplaying game for fans of the genre. But sometimes you need a little weirdness, am I right? This is the final version of my supplement. It not only included monsters and encounter tables, but also rules for Kung-Fu, psychic spiritualists, steampunk tinkerers', and shamanism. There are rules for fear, insanity, haunted homesteads, and Indian burial grounds. Also included are two scenarios:In "Nightmare at Logan's Crown," a rancher asks the posse to investigate missing cattle. It does not look like cattle rustlers or Native Americans are stealing the cattle. What could it be? A crazy old prospector and a mad scientist find something in an abandoned mine 7 days away from Angel's Creek. Competing factions seek control of the town and are unaware of the danger making its way to the dying town. What will happen in "When Midnight Fell on Angel's Creek?"

    Simple Sixes Revised

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Simple Sixes Revised is an expanded version of the original Simple Sixes rules set that I published way back in 2008. The system uses standard six-sided dice with a 2d6 roll high mechanic to beat a difficulty number set by the Game Master. I hadn't touched the rules for several years as I had begun developing another system and let this one sit as is. Now that I've had some time to tackle it with some better tools, I have enhanced the game and made it more robust with options that will allow you to use Simple Sixes for any genre you wish to play in. Please enjoy the game, and be on the lookout for several upcoming projects that use Simple Sixes as their role playing system!

    Wretched Country – Second Edition

star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
star icon star icon star icon star icon star icon
Welcome to the gritty world of Wretched Country, a place where the lines of morality blur and heroes are few and far between. This is the second edition of our venture into the wild frontier of the Western genre. Inspired by the raw, lawless world depicted in spaghetti Westerns, Wretched Country allows players to immerse themselves in the roles of anti-hero characters, roving the expansive plains and lawless towns of the Old West. While the great American cowboy tales hold a special place, we’ve taken our cues from the European take on the genre, one already teeming with a cast of roughened rogues and desperate outcasts. In order to navigate the treacherous terrain of second edition Wretched Country, you will need the core rule book for the Wretched system, Wretched Role-Playing Game. It provides the backbone for the game, laying out the key rules, mechanics, and structure that define the Wretchedverse experience. However, Wretched Country is adaptable and versatile, and it can be meshed with another set of rules (280 pages)
