The Violet-Haunted Crypt
The perfect introduction to adventuring in Cha'alt, my eldritch, gonzo, science-fantasy, post-apocalyptic campaign setting.  The Violet-Haunted Crypt is a 30-page scenario that captures the vivid details of exotic Kra'adumek, city of the purple, alien demon-worm... and what lurks beneath.  Made for 1st - 3rd level characters.  Standard, system-neutral, rules-light, "DnD" mechanics and stat-blocks; usable with Crimson Dragon Slayer D20 or any OSR roleplaying game.  Plenty of opportunity for exploration, combat, and social interaction (including a kickass full-color map).

18 or older, hoss.  Yes, this is for mature audiences, and I wouldn't have it any other way!  Weird, sleazy, humorous, and deadly Cha'alt.  Who wants a taste?

Enjoy,

In Short: This free zany adventure is an excellent primer into the world of Cha’alt.
For a free PDF, The Violet Haunted Crypt is worth the price of admission. The first few pages are an easy to digest lore primer for the world of Cha’alt. The Cat Girl race is a fine addition to the stable of Cha’alt races. The adventure itself starts off super solid, kind of whimsy for Cha’alt but the tonal shift happens relatively soon. The adventure is deadly enough but you have a DMPC available that doesn’t outshine the PCs but isn’t necessary for the adventure. The art is AI, but it is very well curated. Layout could use a little work, the switch from double column to single is a little jarring for a digital product but that is plenty forgivable.
Overall, the adventure has all the hallmarks of Venger’s gonzo style. I think it would be beneficial for the adventure to have an epilogue that includes more pie and discusses the Kra’adumek civil war some more. If you’re looking for something to do on a game night, consider grabbing this adventure along with Crimson Dragon Slayer d20. If you need some more convincing or are not familiar with what a typical Cha’alt game may entail, check out CHa’altGPT; its a fun little read that you can give to your players who may not be familiar with RPGs or who may want a quick read to help them get into character for the Cha’alt adventure.
